Realism to explain international politics? not sufficient.

Alexender Wendt in his piece constructing International politics, tries to state something which critical theories like Neo-liberal and Neo realist do not address.  He states that states that material resources themselves do not  matter in international arena with regard to Anarchy.perception of anarchy of friends and enemies is very different. Similarly, the concept of self help and collective security differs. The reason for the differences are assumptions and expectations that individual associate with these socially constructed structures. To affirm this, Wendt gives legitimate example of US-UK relations in comparison to US-North Korea relations. Such that US does not feel threatened by the material resources such as 500 nuclear arsenals which could directly undermine the interest of US. While, it does feel threatened from north Korea's 5 nuclear arsenals. This is actually supports the argument that the material resources in themselves though have a motive but these actually does not explain a threat to any country in international politics. What really poses a threat is social structure that determines behavior and interests of nations. Socially created structures which determine the behavior, identity and interests of nations directly influence the relationship between countries in anarchic situation. So the idea of Mearsheimer hold no logic or structural approach that explains war and peace in international arena. Alexender Wendt as a constructivists, states that there is more to explain war and peace other than just pessimistic nature of human. He states that relations formed by interactions and expectation have quite substantial role in determining the role of nations in international politics which is explained by Social constructive theory.
