The the concept of balance of power lies at the root of all forms international relation theories and politics. Haas in his article unravels and deconstructs the mysteries behind the concept of Balance and adds different types of conspiratory flavors to it. Haas gives numerous definitions of Balance of power forwarded by different theorists and authors but what really caught my attention was the definition where the the term Balance of power is used as an armour against or rather as pretext to a the different policies of the state where the true reason behind the implementation of those policies cannot be shared.
What we see all around us in newspapers, media, television shows and explanations of our political, we tend believe them on face value doesn't bother going into depths of it. The present consumerist society have made us extremely passive and have stripped us of our ability to meticulously search into the depths our leaders' policies and actions. Credit must be given to these politicians and leaders who used this weakness of the general public to their advantage and have blinded us of what goes behind the curtains.
Hence This Balance of Power have allowed the statesmen to use it as a cloak to implement their policies and make their position in the international arena more concrete. And we also see that as the global village is becoming is becoming smaller and smaller, the focus has shifted from defending oneself from the outside to defending oneself from the inside through mass propaganda and manipulation. Leaders of teh world have joined hands and are moving towards a goal global domination and a new world order.
Please proofread your posts and I'm not sure if he was added conspiratorial flavors to its definition per se; rather, I think he was just trying to elucidate the concept for his readers. In addition, please clarify your points so that your readers can understand the logic behind them.
